Only allow the first question to appear until it has been answered, then do the same When selecting Plan, Renewal Frequency, Meals per day, Days etc
This will make the checkout processes WAY less confusing for those technologically deficient
May also consider doing this as a pop up. This way the customer’s focus is narrowed only to what they need to be doing in that moment to get the subscription created.
10000% agree with that picture, the simpler the workflow the better, we just re-vamped our one-time order meal pack system to look like this, and we feel that if there was a similar option for subs, it would love a huuuuge customer pain point.

Maybe just simplify the questions-
How many meals per week?
What day to start?
Most people come to the table already knowing how many meals they want. They then get confused because we're asking how many days, then how many meals per day. We've added an extra step just to get to the same answer.
This is literally the EASIEST work flow i have ever found. They're conversion must be off the chart
